Venture Capital

Venture Capital has evolved as an innovative and effective technique for financing the IT industry.  However, Pakistan has no culture of  venture financing and no track record in this area. This group will combine leading Pakistani professionals active in venture capital with relevant government entities, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the State Bank of Pakistan. The goal is to examine the requirements for a successful venture capital industry in Pakistan and to use the public sector to provide a strong policy, legal, and institutional framework for venture capital in Pakistan. This group aims to:

  • Review existing laws governing venture capital, identify problem areas, and recommend solutions which efficiently address the issues.

  • Organize conferences and seminars in which all stakeholders and potential investors will participate.
