Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) is a project sponsored by Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT) Government of Pakistan and executed by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT).


Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) has been designed to raise awareness among citizens, economists, Technocrats, policy makers and other concerned professionals on the importance of IT to the Pakistan’s economy. The objective of Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) is to create a mechanism of technical review and provide support to the implementation process of key projects. The project will also mobilize the existing technical expertise of private sector specialists to assist the government in technical review of projects. The main purpose of Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) is to mobilize technical resources by forming working groups in different areas to efficiently lay down the procedures and set patterns to implement IT projects according to IT Policy and Action plan.

Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) not only conceptualizes critical IT projects but also assist in their successful implementation. These IT projects are targeted to benefit the country in general and the masses in particular. Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (TReMU) has created different forums for leading private sector specialists and Government officials, in not just IT but all fields in which IT can play a major enabling role, to undertake joint brainstorming sessions, research, and make recommendations to the executing agencies of IT projects in various domains.
