Establishment of Task Force For
Linux, Network Security & E-commerce

The Technology Resource Mobilization Unit (www.tremu.gov.pk) has been set in place by the Government of Pakistan to enable key professionals to exchange views and coordinate activities in their sectors. These take the form of volunteers in Pakistan and abroad. These physical and virtual groups collaborate to come out with core directions, which find itself into policy making by the Government of Pakistan. There is a main coordinator and coordinators in each city of interest. Meetings are held between people of these groups and sometimes result in Seminars and Conferences to help debate, crystallize and propagate these ideas, concepts and directions.

The main qualification to be apart of these groups is a commitment to volunteer your time and intellectual input, work in a team and a desire for the betterment of the country and do it voluntarily.  

These groups enable a sharing of resources and ideas. Several of the ideas germinate into regular projects and translate the brainstorming, discussion and planning sessions into practical realities. 

Three new Task Forces are being formed and all interested people are requested to establish relevant contacts:

Application receipt timelines are open ended; however those who apply by June 20 will be a part of the initial groups. The Task Forces themselves will deal with subsequent applications.
